Opera House Sydney
The Sydney Opera House is one of the most recognisable buildings of the twentieth century. Designed by Danish architect Jorn Utzon, the Opera House took sixteen years to complete and is the icon of Australia’s creative and technical achievement. Located at Bennelong Point, the Opera House was built on a site sacred to the local Gadigal people for thousands of years. The Sydney Opera House has been a home to many of the world’s greatest artists and performances since opening in 1973 and remains the most popular Sydney tourist attraction today.
